Originally sidecar bodywork was either wicker or aluminium, mounted on an ash wood frame; today all our sidecars are manufactured from glass fibre, with a steel frame. The Grand Prix, or GP as it’s commonly referred to, is single-seater sports sidecar that retains the traditional octagonal nose shape dating from the 1920's. There are five models in the range; the Classic, DL and Jubilee share the same body shell but have differing wheels/mudguards, while the Manx is shorter and the 700 is wider.
GP Manx - shortened chassis with boot access behind seat
GP Classic -10 inch wheel with stainless steel trim and heavily valanced 50’s style mudguard
GP DL - with modern cast alloy 10"wheell
GP Jubilee - top-of-the-range with 15 inch wire-spoked wheel, 1.25 x 15 car radial tyre, mudguard to suit with inset alloy strip, polished stainless steel rear chassis loop, cast alloy step plate and fully carpeted boot )
GP 700 - wide bodied version that seats an adult and child
