Handling
To the surprise of many motorcyclists, the handling of a sensibly arranged
trailer outfit is simple, and not significantly different to that of a normal
solo motorcycle. No special skills have to be learnt, just extra care taken to
remember that there is a trailer behind.
Handling
 | The width of the trailer is unlikely to be much greater than the
handlebars of the motorcycle, and therefore results in very little practical
restriction in road space required. |
 | A test ride with a trailer usually dispels any lingering doubts about
handling, and when the potential user realises that the pleasure and freedom
of using their motorcycle is not impaired, the benefits of the trailer can
then become clear. |
 | Trailers are not just for large motorcycles. The smaller of the Squire
models is a practical proposition for a 150cc Vespa scooter. To ensure that
handling is safe at all speeds, Squire trailers are regularly tested at speeds
greatly in excess of those permitted on normal roads. |
