Updated for 2017 to comply with Euro 4 regulations, the Bullet 500 now comes with disc brakes front and rear, ABS and a re-mapped fuel-injection to comply to tough new emissions standards.

This model has been in continuous production since 1955, yet it could still be mistaken for a restored original, thanks to the efforts of the design team at Royal Enfield.

At its heart is an air-cooled single cylinder engine with a bore and stroke of 84 mm x 90 mm. There are hand-painted gold coach-lines on the petrol tank, with winged Royal Enfield badges and valenced steel mudguards.

Many of the modern features are not immediately apparent; electric starting, 12-volt electrics, (with halogen headlights) and a slick 5-speed gearbox, make life much easier on 21st century roads, without distracting from the Bullet’s classic appeal.
