Harley-Davidson made their first sidecar in 1915, three years after Watsonian was founded, and continued production until 2012, when they were finally dropped from their range in favour of the newly-launched Tri-Glide trike.
Fortunately Watsonian have been fitting their sidecars to Harley-Davidson motorcycles for decades, producing attachment kits suitable for mounting to either the left or right side of the bike.
Whether you ride a Sportster, Softtail, Sport Glide, Road Glide, Road King, Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Low Rider or Heritage Classic, Watsonian can supply and/or fit a sidecar to your Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
With torquey engines for pulling power and traditional tubular steel frames, almost all models of Harley-Davidson are suitable for sidecar attachment, with the exception of machines equipped with ‘springer’ style forks, which struggle with the additional weight of a sidecar.
The choice of sidecar depends partly on the bike and also on its intended use; the compact GP Manx is well-suited to the Sportster range, as is the Grand Prix, which has more luggage space in its lockable boot.
For the cruiser and touring models, the curvaceous Monza complements the classic lines of the Glide range, while the wide-body GP700 will carry one addult, or a couple of children, in comfort.
Watsonian’s durable, British-built body shells come in white or black as standard, but other gelcoat finishes are available and can even be colour-matched to your bike, thanks to our expert local paint-shop.
Call or email our friendly and experienced team if you are interested in fitting a Watsonian sidecar to your Harley-Davidson.
